Tessera brings real BI to NetSuite — governed metrics, native visualizations, and AI narration that live entirely within the platform. No connectors. No exports. No data leaves your environment.
Beta opens to a small group. No spam, ever.
You're on the list. We'll be in touch.
The problem
Every NetSuite customer faces the same wall: the data is there, but reaching it means exports, third-party tools, and reports Finance can't fully vouch for.
NetSuite ships with saved searches and basic reports. Real business intelligence — metric definitions, trend analysis, variance explanation — requires tools that live outside the platform.
Every connector-based BI tool copies your financial data somewhere else, synced on a schedule, governed by a different permission model. Finance hates it. IT hates it. Auditors hate it.
When the metric lives in a spreadsheet or a BI tool with unclear lineage, nobody knows exactly what's included. The Controller won't put her name on it.
Your gross margin is 61%. Is that good? Without industry benchmarks — by business type, size, and segment — internal metrics are directional at best.
"When the CFO asks where a number came from, our Controller can show her work — because every metric in the dashboard uses her definitions."
The governing design principle behind every Tessera decisionHow Tessera works
Tessera is a native SuiteApp. It deploys inside your NetSuite account and never moves data anywhere. Metrics are defined once, governed continuously, and visible wherever you work.
A guided wizard captures source records, filters, transformations, and business context — documented and versioned, not buried in a formula.
Charts and KPI tiles appear directly on your NetSuite dashboard — no iframes, no pop-outs, no separate login. Role-scoped, always current.
Tessera's AI layer reads metric context, explains variances in plain language, and flags anomalies — grounded in your actual data and business definitions.
Every metric definition is versioned. Every computation is traceable. "How was that calculated on December 31st?" — Tessera can answer.
Overlay your metrics against curated industry benchmarks — by business model, revenue range, and segment. Know whether your DSO or gross margin is a problem or a strength.
Design principles
Every decision in Tessera traces back to one constraint: the output must be something a Controller would put her name on.
Industry benchmarks
Tessera includes curated benchmark overlays for Products, Services, and Subscription businesses — so your metrics are always shown in the context of what good looks like for a company like yours.
Net Revenue Retention, Gross Revenue Retention, CAC Payback, MRR growth, churn, and expansion revenue — benchmarked against companies at your ARR range and go-to-market motion.
Utilization rate, revenue per billable head, project margin, DSO, and bill rate realization — benchmarked against professional services firms at comparable scale and delivery model.
Gross margin, inventory turns, COGS as a percentage of revenue, fulfillment cost, and return rate — benchmarked against product businesses in your category and revenue tier.
Benchmarks appear as reference bands directly on Tessera charts — median, 25th, and 75th percentile for your peer group. No separate report. No manual lookup.
Tessera asks you to define your business model at setup. Benchmarks are filtered to your segment automatically. Mixed models are supported.
Benchmark data is sourced from established industry data providers and updated regularly. Not crowdsourced, not self-reported — data you can cite in a board deck.
